Highlights from the past few days by Tiff

So much has happened since our last update….

Sunday found us at a friends church in Leduc Alberta. Rich was able to talk briefly with the Pastor that he had been emailing with, and he took a Malachi Man DVD set. Then we went for a picnic lunch with our friends and my sister. After that we headed back to another friends home in Edmonton and we went together to a park and played some games with our kids and theirs. (Both of these friends also took DVD sets, and plan to use them personally, and possibly in their respective churches.)
We arrived at Elk Island Provincial Park for a late dinner and spent that night and the next, with just our family. While camping we shared some sweet fellowship with our camping neighbours; a beautiful couple who love Jesus and who are originally from Ethiopia. It is so awesome to have family in Christ everywhere we go! They plan to use MM with their grown children.

We also saw a big herd of Bison! And, despite borrowing our generous friends mosquito net tent-and using “off”- we are covered in mosquito bites! Worse yet, the two little boys also have poison oak….please pray that it doesn’t continue to spread on them and the rest of us……

Today we went to West Edmonton Mall where Rich met with another friend and his pastor.  The Pastor was excited to learn about Malachi Man and bought a DVD set for his church.  While Rich was at his meeting the kids and I walked through the mall with my sister, and before leaving Rich took the three oldest on their first Roller Coaster ride.

We went back to my sister’s house for dinner and then headed to Lacombe where we are looking forward to spending the next two nights with some dear friends.
Being in tight quarters, weary, off schedule, and under new pressures ( ie: dealing with poison oak!) continues to remind us of our need for Jesus.  This trip is such a unique and awesome opportunity, as well as stretching, and sometime I feel out of my comfort zone. Ok;  let me repharase that: I like to have things a certain way….honestly…MY. WAY.   God has been convicting me about living in constant dependance on Him, daily repentance, and speaking Gods truth to my heart and family . Daily quiet times with Jesus are imparitive.
One of my favorite quotes is by Rich Mullens: “I would rather live on the verge of falling and let my security be the all-suffiancy of the grace of God than to live in some kind of pieistic allusion of moral excellence –not that I don’t want to be morally excellent, but my faith isn’t in the idea that I am more moral than anyone else. My faith is in the idea that God and his love are greater than whatever sins any of us commit.”
We are so thankful for your prayers for us during this time.
