Mineral Hotsprings in the Mountains

Yesterday we went to Miette Hotsprings -a special treat from Chris Kutyn.

These Springs had been channelled into pools and were situated between tall looming mountains. When we arrived, these mountains were draped by whispy scarves of cloud and were being washed by the rain. Despite the cooler weather, the Hotsprings were still just that -hot! Everybody thoroughly enjoyed it -especially Annalyse. She splashed and laughed the entire time.
At the Hotsprings there were three different types pools: a warm one, a cold one and a hot one. The warm one was perfect for the young kids, but honestly, the hot one was by far the nicest. In Revelations 3 (my fav book of the Bible), there are three types of people: cold, hot and lukewarm. “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm -neither hot nor cold -I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” -Rev. 3:15-16.
I don’t know about you, but these verses can be convicting! It’s easy to become focused on earthly things and put my relationship with God into the ‘lukewarm’ category. But I don’t wanna be lukewarm. And when I stop to think about it, I think it’s petty stupid to have a “meh” attitude towards the one who died for us because he loves us so incredibly much!!
Back to the trip. Today was great. We enjoyed a lazy morning at a mosquito infested campground, and had an awesome brunch of eggs and bacon. 20160625_102436Then we hit the road -and a Tim Hortons -and stayed with my cousins for dinner. After that we arrived at a friends place, where we are now. 20160625_133136
This trip is such a blast. God is good!

We’re happy to hear all is going well. Thanks for keeping us posted. I’ll miss you all in church today. The sun is shinning. It’s going to be a hot day today. I think your raspberry’s taste better than ours.
